About COCOMI

The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) is a coalition of 55 state-level civil society organizations (CSOs) and 9 Branch Unit Committees in Manipur, India, established on October 21, 2019. Its primary objective is to uphold the territorial integrity of Manipur, especially in response to discussions that could alter the state's boundaries.

Member organizations of COCOMI include almost all of the major influential CSOs of the state. A few notable ones are:

COCOMI also deals with all forms of socio-political issues that arise from time to time. Other activities include strengthening the socio-cultural and historical bonds among the ethnic tribes in the state, addressing issues concerning the influx of illegal immigrants, uncontrolled village expansions, conserving the environment and ecology of the state, and protecting and promoting the historical and cultural accounts of the ethnic communities.
